Educational Goals and Career Plans

From the beginning of my high school education, I've always known I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. My long-term goal is to become a radiologic technologist, where I'll have the ability to combine my interest in science with my desire to help others. I'm interested in the way imaging technology allows medical professionals to see inside the human body and diagnose the patient's medical condition accurately. I find this career meaningful as it allows long-term stability while making a positive impact on patient care.

After graduation, I plan to attend National Park Community College to complete the required prerequisite courses and the Rad Tech program they offer. This program will offer hands-on clinical training and the necessary foundation to succeed in this field. During my learning experience, I intend to focus on strengthening my technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide the best quality patient care. After completing this program and passing the ARRT certification exam, I will begin working in a hospital or clinic setting as a certified radiologic technologist.

As 1 become more experienced with my career, I hope to further expand my skills by earning additional certifications in more advanced imaging areas such as MRI, CT, Mammography etc. These certifications will open up more opportunities, broaden my knowledge, and allow me to provide more specialized care to patients. My long-term goal in this career is to become a highly skilled and dependable healthcare professional who continues to grow with advancements in medical technology. Throughout my high school years at Fountain Lake, I have worked hard to prepare myself both academically and personally for this career path. I've been honored with recognition for All A Honor Roll, A-B Honor Roll, High GPA Achievement, Perfect Attendance, Excellent Reader, FACS Completer, and Choir Completer. I have also been actively involved in extracurricular activities including FCCLA, FCA, Beta club, National Honors Society, Basketball, Volleyball, Community Service, School and Church volunteering, and part-time employment in Spark Delivering, Housekeeping, and Pizza Making. These experiences have strengthened my communication skills, teamwork, and responsibility. The courses that have best prepared me for my future career include biology, chemistry, physical science, psychology, sociology, and civics.

My science classes have given me a strong understanding of how the human body functions and how to interpret diagrams, which connects directly to the radiology field. Psychology and sociology have helped me better understand human behavior and how people respond in different situations, which is important for communication and patient care. Civics has taught me practical life skills such as managing money and understanding how systems in society work. These courses have helped me become more organized and responsible. In addition, my part-time jobs and volunteer work have strengthened my communication skills, responsibility, and ability to work efficiently. Overall, I am committed to continuing my education and working hard to achieve my goals. I am excited to take the next step at National Park Community College, gain hands-on experience in radiologic technology, and grow into a skilled and dependable healthcare professional. Through dedication, perseverance, and continuous learning, I plan to build a successful career where I can make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients every day.

With sincere appreciation,
