Dear Castleberry Foundation,

Phi Lambda Chi has significantly impacted my life. This fraternity has allowed me to grow as a person and become more accountable. I have developed lifelong friendships with being a member of this great fraternity. When I needed a sense of purpose, Phi Lambda Chi was always there. As a result of being a member of Phi Lambda Chi, I have developed the ability to work with others, organize and execute events, and develop ways to positively contribute to my community. I have gained a variety of transferable skills, such as teamwork, communication, and event organization, that will benefit me in my future.

During my time as a member of Phi Lambda Chi, I have actively worked to improve the fraternity and encourage its growth. I was able to double our fraternity's membership, which resulted in a stronger bond among our brothers. I also played a large role in planning many of our large-scale annual events, including Drum Beat, the Golf Tournament, and Crawfish Boil. Our events serve two purposes: they bring members and alumni of the fraternity together, and they help spread awareness about our fraternity throughout the campus sd community. In addition to planning events, I also began several new community service initiatives for our members to participate in, such as volunteering at the local food banks, the fire department, campus clean up days and other service events around Arkadelphia. This allowed our members to give back to their community while learning the importance of contributing to the needs of others. Organizing events for our fraternity taught me a great deal of leadership, teamwork, and accountability.

My involvement in Phi Lambda Chi has helped me improve myself. I have become a more confident, organized, and responsible individual. This fraternity has completely changed my life in the best way possible. I came to Henderson to originally play football, but it didn't work out, so I joined Phi Lambda Chi. Doing so was probably the best decision I have ever made. I came from a place that didn't see me as a person just a number, then to a life changing brotherhood that I will never forget and will have these brothers for the rest of my life.

I intend to begin my professional career after college within the Construction Industry. My area of interest is in both Project Management and Estimation. I enjoy working on projects, finding solutions to problems, and being a part of building something.

The Castleberry Scholarship would be a tremendous honor to receive. It will help me to continue working towards achieving my goals and continuing to grow as a leader and individual.

Receiving this scholarship would also allow me to honor the values and lessons that Phi Lambda Chi has instilled in me, such as responsibility, service, and teamwork. I hope to continue to make a difference in my fraternity, my community, and my career, as well as keep Christopher's legacy by carrying the values he represented. I appreciate the opportunities that have been given to me so far, and I plan to continue to utilize what I have learned in this fraternity to better others and myself in all aspects of my life.
